Hail the sun dipping
below Mother Lake; come back
early tomorrow.
~

The firs are white-gowned,
for this magic winter dance,
spangle and splendor.

~

~
This motherhood thing
is serious stuff; why the
silly rabbit ears?

~

~
Dobbin and Daisy
pull the sled through winter woods.
It's been a good gig.
~

~
Lake, water and light
to find the way home in fog.
Fishermen with catch.
~

~
Dock fades into lake.
Mist wraps us in a gray shawl.
Which boat will you take?
~

~
The anti-IPad ~
sandy beach and cloud angels,
lake of clearest blue.
~

~
Golden tree shining
shimmering like an angel ~
like the angel you are.
~

~
Ebony dances ~
graceful limbs whirl out to touch
the straight white birches.
~

~
In north Michigan
the sky a holy presence ~
rain, then stars, then sun.
~

~
The frozen winter
creates abstract sidewalk art.
Your lens has found it.
~

~
Can't see the other
side of the lake ~ it's so big.
I will find my way.
~

~
Walk across the dunes
drink in the endless seascape ~
our deep mother lake.
